We are an NHS referral-only dental service, providing specialist care for people who cannot be treated in general dental practice. Our patients often have learning disabilities, mental health conditions, severe dental anxiety or other complex needs. We also provide care in settings where traditional dental services cannot reach, including homelessness services, care settings and secure environments. Alongside treatment, we focus on prevention through our oral health improvement and epidemiology programmes.

Poor oral health can contribute to wider health problems, affect nutrition, reduce confidence and make everyday activities more difficult. It can impact how people eat, sleep, communicate and interact with others, affecting both physical and mental wellbeing.
