CDS employees plant trees to offset carbon footprint

CDS employees have planted 120 trees at Marston Vale in Bedfordshire, to help offset our company’s carbon footprint.  The tree planting activity was established by REG Chair, Tina, after attending a Climate Change event hosted by charity and fellow social enterprise “The Forest of Marston Vale”, in December 2021: “Under the CDS Green Impact commitment, it is important that we consider our carbon footprint and social impact.  As we continue annually to plant trees we will be playing our part in a local increase of green areas.  CDS is considering  becoming a friend of the forest so that we can collaborate in future events.  It is important to continue to offset our carbon footprint to help give back to the environment.  By planting trees at Houghton House we are also supporting local charities and working alongside another social enterprise.

This is what Joe from Communications had to say about the event, “It was really good fun to contribute to such a good cause and enjoy the day with everyone involved”.
