We’re aware of the lifting of the remaining COVID-19 restrictions from 19 July 2021. But we still need to act cautiously to stop the spread of the virus. The delta variant is more transmissible, and people visiting this practice may be contagious without knowing it. Many people are still not yet fully vaccinated, so cutting virus transmission is still important. Health premises are a higher risk environment and we need to maintain some control measures to keep everyone safe. So we are asking everyone visiting our practice to wear a face mask, unless you’re exempt, maintain social distancing and use hand gel or wash your hands.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we are currently providing care for all of our Nottinghamshire patients at the following clinics:
Carlton Dental Department
Meadows Dental Department
Hyson Green Dental Department
Clifton Dental Department
Tony Hughes Treatment Centre
Newark Health Centre
In order to comply with stringent infection control practices, appointments are allocated to each clinic on the basis of the type of care to be provided, rather than by patient location. If you would like to enquire about a referral, please contact the Referrals team based within the Park House Clinic on 0115 6481694.
Attendance at a clinic is by appointment only to enable us to ensure adequate social distancing. We have had to cancel routine care during the Lockdown period, and are currently re-establishing services, prioritising the most urgent care first. We will contact patients as and when we are able to see them, but please call us on the telephone number above if you have an urgent dental problem.
When you attend for an appointment at the clinic, you will be advised to remain in your car until a member of staff comes out to collect you (or to wait outside the main entrance if on foot). You will be given a telephone number for the dental clinic to inform them of your arrival. Your Covid status will be checked the day before your appointment and rechecked on arrival.
It is important that you let us know during this call if you or anybody in your household is isolating or have symptoms of COVID 19 (persistent cough, high temperature, persistent loss of taste or smell). You will be asked to wear a mask and to apply sanitizer to your hands before you come into the clinic. To minimise personal contact, we ask that patients do not bring any non-essential items into the clinic, and that they are unaccompanied unless they require the presence of a carer or parent to attend. Only one parent/carer will be allowed.
If you pay for your treatment, where possible, we will ask you to do this by card over the telephone.
